Hello there,

I have these two Polish Chicks that I got from a breeder on May 24. They are both different ages. I was supposed to get 10 days old chicks but by the time I arrived there they were all sold, so after some persuasion he gave me some of the chicks he spared for himself. I asked how old they are but he said he was unsure as he hatches several every week. But I have them for almost two weeks now so they either a month old or more. I would also appreciate if anyone can guess their ages too!

Big one is Bobby, it is a White Crested Black Polish, it came to me entirely feathered body and its crests were just whitening up from yellow. It peeps less and very silently compared to the other chick. It is skittish but very food motivated and smart. It doesn’t resist much when picked and do enjoys pets. If mealworms are involved it will willingly jump on my lap or arm and reacts to its name.

Second one is Poppy, its a Silver Laced Polish Chick. Tbh it hasnt developed much besides its two emerging head feathers but it is preening a lot now especially its wings and chests.
It used to be very attached to me but now it is extremely skittish and refuses to trust me even if i offer loads of mealworms to it. It has mixed moods really. It peeps and talks a lot, its voice is louder than Bobby.

They are super attached to eachother, they never ever leave each others side for not even a second. They preen and cuddle each other. If behaviors would help with sexing.

Id like to mention that the Breeder didnt know how to sex them. I also do believe he tried to give me possible roosters to me as he had too many of them of older age. He was kept grabbing them and petting them in the back when he was checking.

Rooster or Hen, I will love them either way tho. I will just need to prepare a separate room and flock for them if both are roosters as our other roosters may not welcome them.

I can try to get better views but these babies love to move a lot.
