hi there.. I’m new to chickens (well kind of) around last Christmas my chickens were killed by dogs.. (all eight of them...) and I were devastated... I was wondering if anyone has any advise on making places for them to hide (since I don’t want them to live in a coop their whole life) The short time I had my chickens were some of the best moments in my life.. and I am going to get more chickens in the summer....but I don’t want them to die to dogs (or any predators for that matter) I also lately got a new puppy which I will attempt to get him and the chickens good friends.. but until then does anyone have any ideas on predator proofing the area around the coop? (By gardens, trees, houses, and such) thank you!

There are LOTS of articles and threads here about making your coop and run predator-proof, or as predator-proof as possible. Welcome! Look around, it’s a wealth of information!
