Any Allergy sufferers out there have a miracle cure? Please share

The pollen in it is what makes it work. The idea is that it acts kind of like a vaccine. You are exposed to small amounts of an allergen so your body then doesn't go completely haywire when it gets it in larger doses. Honey has also long been thought to be an immune booster. Eating some local honey everyday helps quite a few people I know.

Clairitin doesn't do anything for me-I think I'm immune to it now. Zyrtec really helps. Plus, if you feel an attack coming on, go inside and wash your face/hands/glasses/contacts. That helps immensely, getting the pollen off my face. Good luck!

I am definitely going to try the neti pot. I'm still fighting them pretty hardcore. I take Claritin ( generic). The raw honey is local from my brothers farm about 20 min down the road. It does help just not enough. I did use a nasal spray zicam or something like that. It helped but I would not use it as much as they said. Once on really bad congestion days. I do try to boost my immune system. I take vitamin C, and elderberry syrup daily.

I think the neti pot might be my next big weapon against this allergy season. Thanks for the suggestion

Eliminate all dairy and preservatives from your diet. It really does work! The fresh, raw honey from a local grower helps also.

I used to suffer horribly from allergies and they would turn into upper respiratory infections but, since losing the dairy and prepackaged, preservative-laden foods, processed meats, etc., no more allergies or colds. This worked for my whole family and my parents also.

If I break over and eat ice creams and cheeses, the symptoms return. Go figure.

You're welcome. I have been taking Allegra every day for about three years also.

Raw local honey is your best bet for natural. When I moved out of my home ste I had major allergy problems. When we moved to TN I started buying local honey to help. It works. I do not suffer half as much and only have to do a pill maybe in winter due to my sinuses hatting cold weather. But rest of the year I am fine now. Raw is best if you can get it. Good place to find it is local farmers markets or do a search for local honey in your area online.
