Any Art Appraisers Here?

I am really wanting to get some artwork appraised. Unfortunately, locally is a bust. Here's the issue, it's an unusual piece due to its size and artist. It's horse themed, and the artist has done only a few selected works in the US. His other pieces are in Italy and Germany that I know of. The last advice given to me was to take it to Christy's or Sothebys, which is impossible.

So, anybody have an idea?

After it's appraised, do you know where I could advertise it?
