persona of sorts

A bit of a rush job as I needed it done this morning but I was only told last night what to draw haha (my dad and my uncle are visiting my cousin in the hospital, I thought this would cheer my cousin up. But my uncle didn't get back to me until last night about animals that my cousin likes (he didn't see the text) )

First we have what appears to be a second-grade persona. I loved insects and especially butterflies at that age and knew a lot about butterflies and butterfly identification.
After that I got a bird book and became obsessed with bird identification. Then I got a chicken book and the rest is history.

OK NOW DUCKY MOMOS
my stories have always been very cute childish characters with surprisingly dark and depressing plots
The Peregrination is just a continuation of this.
I think I wrote this in third or fourth grade, not sure
There are no dates, soooo

A regular ducky momo
Typically they had large ears and a long tail and a theme of some sort. This was a sun one, which I drew quite often

Little Timmy Comic (this is the only one that I still find funny. The others aren’t all that funny, even if I thought so at the time)

More species (you can see my bird obsession, as I used “races” because that’s how different colorations are classified in my trusty bird book)

Also in this sketchbook is The Battle of the Canaries, a graphic novel I wrote and illustrated between the fifth and sixth grades, and the terrible dialogue is always good for a laugh if you read it aloud with friends.
My personal favorite: HE SPOUTS LIES
sadly, I did not even color the whole thing. I got bored of it and gave up. So some is just black and white.

Anyway, it’s the lore basis for my novel The Peregrination. My writing skill has definitely increased but my sense of humor and writing style… hasn’t changed that much. Basically take this and peg on The Hobbit and you have it.
Also funny is the fact that I am wearing the pants I made in 8th grade home ec.
