I gasped when I saw the rooster, then I went silent for the blue jay. Those are beautiful!

Don't ever judge your own ability by someone else's work. Look at where you've come from to where you are now and see the improvement. We all are on differnt paths and at different places on those paths, so it's not fair to yourself to compare your work to someone else's. Draw inspiration from it instead.
