I sketched up this lass (badly) in during a car ride earlier. I gave her a theme -- can you guess what it is?

Correct! Type 1 diabetes was the theme that I was going for. Her necklace, scarf, and bangles would be blue, her skirt is designed after test strips for a glucose meter, there are syringes in her hair, and she has little earrings shaped like Esculapius' staff (a medical symbol).

Boy was I wrong.

Is it just me, or is it way cooler looking at amateur art on here than professional art?
Sometimes amateur artists make mistakes, and you get to see how they improve, and usually they draw what interests them, so it’s cool to see what interests others.

I actually agree with you. As much as I love fawning over professional art, it's really fun to watch smaller artists grow and improve. Plus they are more approachable and easy to chat with We all just like to draw things we are interested in!

Here are some sketches I did yesterday...
A persona of myself...she's an alien/cyborg from another planet with an internal structure that is able to support rare and fragile plant life. The VoidPunk vibes are strong with this one.
Also, Medusa, just for fun. I tried referencing ancient greek clothing but it still looks awful

Also, another freaking fursona. This one's a redesign of a previous version. She still needs a new name.
She'll either be a medicine cat apprentice or a warrior who sometimes helps in the medicine den

The snake hair is really well-drawn! That’s a really cool idea for a cyborg. I’ve never seen a cyborg with an old-fashionedy dress like that and it makes her so much more interesting. Awesome ideas!
