At the end of the day, it's a proxy on a piece of cardboard. I'm not sure oils are worth the time or cost. A lot of them are posca pen or other markers too.I feel like the art on these cards is what I would consider "alright"
Looks like people do this with acrylics and I think I'd do it with oils and deal with the fact that it would be months for it to dry lol
