Any artists out there?

My latest painting for a pet portrait competition. It's my sheep, Muffin, with chicks on her head. :D

Finally got to test out my cabochon station in my garage, and the test subjects were these three stones. Not sure what the green ones are, they were leftovers from a project I did a couple months ago. The purple is strombolite. Just discovered strombolite this year and I love it. Need to play around with getting good photographs though!

I did discover that a tile saw definitely doesn't cut it (lol) as a trim saw, even if you do switch the blade for a lapidary blade. Very unwieldy, rpm too high, and since the blade comes from the top rather than underneath, I don't feel safe getting as close as I need in order to get stones trimmed properly. So further cabbing is on hold until I can locate an actual trim saw. Hopefully not at new machine price. I can't afford another $400 on top of getting my back door replaced and finding a new tank (or two) for my snake(s).

My latch hook tapestry is still chugging along. It's so big you guys lol why do I do this to myself.

So what do you guys think? I sorta like it, but the body just looks meh in my opinion, and I don’t know what to do to fix it. The right front hoof looks awful, but it’ll be covered up by a dust cloud so I’m not worrying about that. Also does anyone know how I can keep him from fading into the background? Every horse I’ve drawn a background with just seems to kind of blur a little bit, and I want the lines to be crisper.

Without further ado, here he is.

I'm not a rock person, but I do know cutting some stones can be dangerous, don't forget to wear protective gear. The green stones look like Aventurine. Which can be toxic when cut.
