i saw earlier in this thread that you’re an art teacher for high school! that's so cool! i really want to get art lessons for 10th grade this year, but i do homeschool and the art courses that i’ve taken online are not what i’ve been looking for lol

So what do you guys think? I sorta like it, but the body just looks meh in my opinion, and I don’t know what to do to fix it. The right front hoof looks awful, but it’ll be covered up by a dust cloud so I’m not worrying about that. Also does anyone know how I can keep him from fading into the background? Every horse I’ve drawn a background with just seems to kind of blur a little bit, and I want the lines to be crisper.

I'm not exactly sure what you are asking. Are you planning on drawing in a background? If the background is of a similar value as the horse I find that a darker outline works just fine and doesn't look unrealistic.

Thank you, that's what I was wondering! I'm just going to draw in some loose dirt for the background, as that's what's in my reference, and I wanted to make the horse stand out more.

my nine year old little sister loves arts and crafts and literally threatened me if i didn’t post her painting, so here it is lol. she’s been taking famous paintings and replacing the person in the painting with a chicken instead lol. this one is the “girl with the pearl earring.”

My friend wrote a story and he didn’t want it to look like it was written by AI by having an AI cover so naturally he asked me to paint a cover traditionally
And I made it a hand to flex my amazing hand drawing skills

My first time painting a hand so there’s definitely some things I would change but he asked me and he liked it so I’m glad about it.
The ruling pen was very useful for all the runes. I definitely couldn’t have done that with just a brush
