I don’t know, who would want to look at a painting of a wooden board?

On the other hand, I feel tempted to hang these up, and when somebody’s asks, “why do you have a wooden board on your wall?“

I would then say “I painted that. It’s canvas.”

Might be a good conversation starter.

I just had an interesting but deep realization about art.

I finally got two of my paintings framed. Going to try and find a place to hang them in the house.

I hung this up before thanksgiving dinner. I was going to see if it would help spark a conversation.

During thanksgiving dinner a girl my age asked me about it. I’m 28 and single, so I took the opportunity to talk to her when she asked about it.

I showed her the back of the canvas to show her it wasn’t real wood, and she was surprised. I then told her I painted it. She was more impressed. After that, we were talking a lot during dinner.

My faux wood scheme worked! Now I got a new friend!

It’s amazing how talking about and looking at art can start friendships.

Now I should paint more often!
