Hey HoneyCreek! Have you checked out this thread yet? It's the one I see most active about beekeeping. Looks like @drstratton got started last year, but I'm sure there's even more experienced folk chatting in there as well.

Go to your local market and look at honey labels. You may have beekeepers who are close to you and would be willing to give you some hands on. Check the above thread though. Good advice and different methods from the west coast to the east coast and in between.
