Any bison or yak owners out there?

One of our local farmers just got a herd of yaks. That's the first I've ever seen of them in my area.

I don't know if I could ever own yak but I think they are absolutely adorable. I think it's the whole big fuzzy cowesqe thing because I LOVE LOVE LOVE Scottish HIghland Cattle and their big shaggy selves too.

On a side note I was watching food network and their is a resteraunt that serves gourmet exotic and game burgers (Maybe in Boston) and besides bison, ostrich, kangaroo (yikes!), caribou, and a few other odd ones they also do Yak.

That is just another advantage of yak, they are great tasting. We went to a restraunt in Montana and they had yak burgers, they were so good. I have had home made bison burgers before but they were nothing compared to Cabelas bison burgers.

i have a small herd of yaks 3 royal and 2 trims im going to have to figure out how to put pictures on here

No bison or yaks here, but I want/will have reindeer in the next 10 yrs or so. I want 3 for breeding purposes for eating. Grew up on caribou meat and miss it.
