Any bone collectors or taxidermists out there?

I collect bones and I was wondering if anyone else did as well? If so, please feel free to show off your collection! (I’ll add pics of my collection sometime)
Also, if anyone does taxidermy, how expensive is it to get started? What’s a good starting point to get into it? Anything you’d like to share about it?

I personally do not, but there are several Facebook groups of people who do. There are even groups where people buy, sell, and trade deceased animals for taxidermy.

Collect bones? 😳
Of what animals. From animals right? ...jk

Hmm I never thought to do that. I mean I did once when I had a bottle calf pass away from stress the next day we got it home. Poor thing. But what goes into bone collecting? I’d love to do it to teach my kids about animal bones.

They love human bones and already know a lot of human bone names. I personally learned them along with them 😂 and they’re only 4 years old!

I do bones, and maintain a colony of dermastid beetles, but otherwise don't do any taxidermy.

I've shown these off before but I'll leave it here anyhow. These are all domestic rabbits.

In order the pictures are possum or raccoon, coyote, miscellaneous woodland creatures along with turkey and chicken, and coyote teeth and a bird

In my opinion, the main point of it is collecting for decoration and to spend time outside looking and cleaning them.
That’s so cool that they’re already interested and know human bones! (I only know the basic human bones lol)

Woah! You have those beetles?! That’s neat! I would love to get some, but I don’t think I have any where to put them. Those rabbits are pretty cool. My cousin has a rabbit skull or two, too
