History - "Washington's Crossing," by David Hatchett Fischer. I read this fairly recently. It's a fascinating story of Washington's army in the American Revolution. It gave me new appreciation of the endurance and perseverance of the American leaders and soldiers.
Robert Caro's series of biography of Lyndon Johnson.
"The Path to Power"
"Means of Ascent"
"Master of the Senate"
The 4th in the series will be about the presidential years. I am anxiously awaiting its publication. I read "Means of Ascent" first when I was in college - picked it up from the "dollar table" at the bookstore- and this book led me to quit reading fiction! If had been written as fiction, you would say it is not a believable story. I think I would read them in order now, though.
