Any bought chicks from MyPetChicken.Com?

When I checked the Meyers site they had no Dominiquers available but MPC did, so I ordered from MPC. I assume MPC has a contract with Meyers and maybe had dibs on the Doms for their site? I just know they were the only place I could get them at that time.

Am I missing something? It looks like you can order bantam pullets at MPC. All of the bantams I see at Meyer's are straight run.

I also ordered from MPC, ordered 8 chicks, one runty silkie died. The rest are thriving. 2 Buff Orps, 2 Silver laced Wyandottes, 2 EE's and 1 white silkie.

I used MPC because they allow you to only order 3. For those of us that want a small flock and not 25 this was ideal. They also let you choose sex instead of straight runs. I didn't want a roo.

you do pay extra for sexing and for ordering a small amount of chicks but it was worth it.

i think they must outsource to ideal hatchery because that's the box they came in. Never the less- very happy. But I also see now that ideal will ship small amounts of chicks for a fee of course.

I ordered the Bantam Assortment last weeks. Got a call and email 2 days later to let me know the birds are gonna ship on Tuesday. I hate the waiting game.

I only got the confirmation email that the chicks would be shipped. I had to wait about 2 months from MPC for the chicks but I was fine with that. We hadn't even begun coop construction and as it was the chicks were inside for 2 weeks in a dog crate until the coop was done.

I had no problems with MPC. When ordering the chicks they tell you approximate shipping weeks and that ordering this chick may delay your order. They wait and ship the whole order together.

I found them very easy to order from and considered ordering from Meyer but didn't want a straight run. The order came from them anyway and I see now they will let you order just 3 chicks (for an increased price) so they are probably realizing how much money they are losing to MPC by outsourcing. I wouldn't be surprised if they offered more variety in sexing soon too. But right now most of the hatcheries are sold out of what I'm looking for. I'll wait until the spring to order more.

So, was there any resolution on the mis-sexed birds? We ordered:
1 White Crested Blue Polish
1 Golden Laced Polish
3 Golden Laced Wyandottes
3 Silver Laced Wyandottes
2 Australorps
1 Buff Orpingtons
1 Buff Laced Polish
1 Blue Cochin
1 Barred Plymouth Rocks
1 Dominiques
1 Small Order TLC package - 15-24 chicks
All supposed to be pullets. They'll be here in a couple of weeks (week of 9.22). Just wondering if we have any recourse for mis-sexing, I don't remember any '90%' disclaimers.

Our chicks arrived Wed AM - got the call from the post office just before 7A to pick them up. We ordered 4 and they sent 5. I think we got a couple of Silkies and not sure what else. Now that they're a few days old I'll have to get some pic so I can find out what they are. There are 4 feather feet and 1 with no feathers. They're all doing well
