Sometimes I feel like I'm young and no one cares what I say. I think I'm slowly learning that God can still use me, though.
People my age get on my nerves a lot. Just the other day, I told the other girls in my class that I think dating in high school is ridiculous. They didn't get why. Then I said, "You guys will probably kiss 100 guys before you marry." And they said, "So?" Now....I don't know about you guys, but I think you ought to be really serious before you just go kissing people.
On the bus to Florida for our class trip, I sang along quietly to a few of my favorite worship songs that I was playing on my ipod. I also bobbed around to "Undignified," which has these lyrics," I will dance, I will sing, to be mad, for my King. Nothing Lord is hinderin' this passion in my soul. And I'll be come, evfen more Undignified than this. Leave my pride by my side, and I'll beome, even more Undignified than this." And guess what? They laugh. They think it's hilarious. Yeah, maybe I was a bit dorky, but the whole point is to be dorky worshiping God and not care. My friend looks at me and hands me her cell phone, which she has typed, "I would stop singing if I were you. They are soooo making fun of you right now. Trust me." Yep. Bingo. That was the point. It wouldn't have been a big spectacle if I ahd been singing rap or whatever, but worship songs? WHOA! That's earthshattering!
