I don't think it bothers the world that we sin. I think it bothers the world that we act like we don't. There are times that instead of being myself and exposing my own weakness and hurt, I portray a character of the person that I know I should be. But when I expose myself as weak and frail at times, it frees the Body of Christ to restore me as it should and invites others to unmask as well.

I'm so thankful to be a part of a church that is filled with real people, with real hurts, and real struggles, and we aren't afraid to open up and be real and honest .. so that Christ can do through us what he came to earth to do:

Save the lost
Heal the sick
Deliver the oppressed
Set the captives free!

We have ministries for those struggling with alcohol, survivors of sexual abuse, post-abortion, divorce .. People who aren't afraid to step up and admit they have a past or present struggle with issues that so many times are swept under the rug .. and share how God's love, mercy, and grace has delivered them from the emotional toll of not only the circumstance, but from years of keeping it a secret and pretending that everything is ok.

I thank God for placing me in such a place as this ....

I am getting my peeps next week and have been reading all I can.
I have been so excited all week and now I'm over the moon now that I have
brothers and sisters in Christ to share this new chicken experience with.
This is my first time having chickens so please be patient with me if I ask too many questions.
