Any Californians in Rohnert Park or Arcata area?

I'm going to be checking out colleges in both those areas next month, but I don't know much about the towns. Would love to see some ideas for what to see/where to eat, etc.

Arcata is awesome!!! I grew up just 30 minutes away! Go to the Plaza or if you like hiking take a trip through the redwoods
