I noticed this on my 2 week old chick today, I'm afraid it is a goner. Can anyone help?

Has the chick been suffering from constipation or pasty butt? Is it pooping? So sorry about this probelm, but that is a prolapsed vent, more commonly seen in grown hens. The most important thing to do is to keep the pink tissue moist and clean. Gentle cleaning with a little soap and water if it is soiled is all you need, then apply plain Neosporin or a little hydrocortisone cream so that it does not dry out.

Yes, sugar as well as honey are excellent for reducing swelling and keeping the area moist as well. Young chicks who have prolapses overall do not do well. If it is only from constipation, it may get better, but that is more severe than the milder ones in baby chicks. Make sure that the other chicks cannot get close and peck at the red tissue. There are numerous threads about chicks with prolapses to read about. Many pipeople post, and never report if the chicks made it or not.

Thank you so much for the info! I promise I'll report back how they are doing. Check out my last post as I did just that for another chicken

Sadly it didn't make it. We tried sugar and a cold cloth but it didn't work and the little one died overnight. I appreciate everyone reaching out to help and keep in mind this forum has helped me save many in the past, so every bit helps!
