Any chance this could be a roo?

Pretty chicken,

I suppose that there is always a chance....but I think at 21 weeks you would have heard a crow by now. I also think, can't tell from the picture that if there are three rows in the pea comb then it is pretty certain to be a rooster.

I bet you will be getting an egg shortly and know for sure then what the answer is. :O)

the hackles look pointy but then the sadle soes not so its hard to tell

gonna have to wait for someone else or a crow or egg

think i have to say pullet at this point

Yeah I'm a bit nervous. Her sister Laya laid an egg yesterday, and s/he is MUCH bigger and more mature than Laya. Do roosters ever squat like pullets who are beginning to lay? If not, I guess I answered my own question because Martha definitely squats. Watch...Imma go out to the run in 5 minutes and there will be a Martha laying her first egg

Here's Laya, her sister for comparison.

First one looks like a pullet. I've seen our cockerels scope out nesting sites and sit in there and coo. Actually, from the front, the second one looks a bit like a cockerel, honestly, at least from the front. When feathers are patterned, it can be hard to tell from pictures whether they are pointed or not. At 21 weeks, they should be pretty obvious.
