Anyone have a link to stencils/patterns for carving pumpkins? Or a personal favorite?

Not sure if this will help, but seems like you could use a chicken silhouette for a pattern. Just do a Bing or Goole search for "chicken silhouettes"...there are a lot of them out there, like this:
