Any clue what breed?

Update... I've done some searching. With his white earlobes ringed in red, the Carnation comb, the bone colored bill and the blue legs... It looks like he's a crele penedesenca

He is not a penedesenca. That breed does not have crests.

I don't know, he does look like a Crele Penedesenca. Hatchery quality may not have perfect combs. Several hatcheries are offering them now.
Would help to know the hatchery.
The one in the photo here looks like it may have a bit of a crest as well.

Roosters, when frightened, will sometimes raise the feathers on the back of their head. I see no evidence of crests in that picture.

He was part of a rare breed assortment from Strombergs I believe. The woman who got them ended up with several unusual chickens but this boy and the Egyptian Fayoumi did not do well in her smaller confined coop setting. The Fayoumi is more adventuresome than I would prefer and keeps leading the 6 girls he favors farther away from home than I appreciate.
