COOL...well, I wanted RIR and Barred Rocks because their ideal dual purpose breeds.
and ur pen for them is great, u must have some purpose on'em? is their?

breeding and selling, cross breeding with visaya, eating eggs and home grown chicken

at the moment I am really just trying to establish good breeding stock

were d same Kuya, in my case it's very, very difficult handling my very own backyard flock with the aim of developing good layers and meat type. my pocket cant afford the feeds I sustain them, so i frequently feed them corn grits if theres no budget. can u share how you feed yours and what feeds u give them, do u often give them vitamins? do you vaccinate them?
Still in college but has a passion on chicken business...

i buy chick starter which is high protein then mix it with opa (rice bran) - half the price.

if you have a copra mill nearby you can add a little copra meal but less than 20%

i dont give vitamins but vaccinate with NCD and fowl pox

how much do those vaccines cost po kuya? at what age do you vaccinate them?
as for me, i feed them with 50:50 cracked yellow corn and BSC feeds...are you familiar with these? I m not sure Im giving them the right feed.

i dont know BSC but I would switch from cracked corn to rice bran - rice bran is 14% protein where corn is only 6%.
I pay 650 per sack and for adult birds its all you need - with vitamins - mine get vitamins from the commercial feed as well as fruits and veggies.

the agrovet store will sell newcastle disease vaccine - its the most important one

I cannot remember how much it costs. Bernie my gardener bought it last time. I will ask next time I text. In the USA its around 420P for enough to treat 1000 birds.

As far as selling you birds goes - I would love to. My good purebred stock are only about nine weeks old. By Christmas I should have plenty of young birds.

I have a lot of crossbreeds at the moment that have hatched that I could sell. They are a combination of RIR Rock Leghorn Polish Ameraucana Marans.

u know kuya ozexpat, u can be a producer of dual-purpose pure bred chickens here in the phil. in which many filipino farmers and even chicken fanciers would love to have! u can be the first one to have a hatchery like that! wow, what a "sleeping giant".
