Sadly, I'm not. I've been playing the game since I was six, and Minecraft doesn't feel to me like some funny fantasy for children, it's more of a nostalgia, a second home even. The movie really looks like it's just aimed at children to laugh at a game they've grown up around, not really dedicated to all the hardcore crafters who were here before Microsoft took over. Not saying some of the older fans won't still enjoy it, just that I've noticed most of the negative feedback is coming from the old-schoolers

Honestly I only played the game briefly. It wasn't for me. I like a direction when it comes to games versus rolling around in the sandbox. Not saying that's a bad thing...just not my thing. But the sandbox quality of the game I think could give them a lot of freedom to do whatever with the movie so I'm interested to see what they come up with.

I'm also a huge jack black fan.
 
I play Final Fantasy XIV. I'm currently trying to figure out play on keyboard and mouse. I should have started with it. At lvl 72 my son says you really need a keyboard and mouse. I created a new character and starting from the beginning with her

The song they played at the very end of the trailer sounded awfully familiar. Is that what you're referring to? Otherwise I'm definitely excited. I was really worried that they were gonna deviate from shadows origin story. But...then I saw Maria....then grandpa robotnik. I did catch a line that was used in the games: if I can't destroy the world I might as well save it. I really love that they've actually listened to the fans on these

Yessss, the theme at the end was based on Live and Learn, by Crush40. I hope they add the whole song in the movie, I'm excited to see how they do it.
It's awful how bittersweetly excited all these hardcore Sonic fans are for THAT part. I won't say what it is though, so I don't spoil it for anyone who doesn't know the original story yet

Yea I needed to refresh my memory. I completely forgot about...the last story. I knew the song sounded familiar
