Any geese breeds good for city backyard flocks?

someone posted awhile ago about getting some Mini Oregon geese, I am sorry i can't remember who it was, but if you traveled back in time on here you might find their post and Pm them..

You could try duct-taping their mouths shut. Sorry. Not in the city. They will get you in trouble. Some are less vocal than others, but even among the "quiet breeds", there are individuals who are more vocal than others, mostly ganders, but I have some very chatty girls, too. Geese do everything by committee and they talk pretty constantly, even at night. They are especially loud when they play, which they love to do! Or squabble, which they also like to do. Some seem to have a very finely developed sense of Justice and will complain loudly if they feel that they have not received their due. ( My toulouse, Silkie, should have been called "I'm Telling".) They're like kids, individuals with personalities. You take your chances and get what you get.

My poor goose[gander] acts like a goose, screams like a goose, but has never been around any geese.

All he knows is ducks and Muscovies at that... he might just need counseling.

For an urban setting...Geese definately no...Muscovies YES!

Hey, I live in a semi-urban environment and I have Sebastopol's. Small town that allows chickens tho. You would have to check your local ordinance first. I do however have 6 ft wood fencing around my little quarter acre -- and had to do that because one of my neighbors was taunting them, so you can imagine what they did back to him!
