Some are less vocal than others, but even among the "quiet breeds", there are individuals who are more vocal than others, mostly ganders, but I have some very chatty girls, too. Geese do everything by committee and they talk pretty constantly, even at night. They are especially loud when they play, which they love to do! Or squabble, which they also like to do. Some seem to have a very finely developed sense of Justice and will complain loudly if they feel that they have not received their due. ( My toulouse, Silkie, should have been called "I'm Telling".) They're like kids, individuals with personalities. You take your chances and get what you get.
