Any good books or websites? Blue x Lav =?

Hi I am wondering what the possible outcomes of crossing a blue with a lav would be?
Also is there any good books or websites listing chicken color genetics? How do people learn this stuff? LOL

The first language is Dutch but if you look down the list you will next see the same words in Englsh, then in German & then in French. Just click on the English words. It really is very clever.​

And the reason the first language listed is Dutch is that Henk is from Holland.

But wouldn't crossing blue with lav carriers or lav birds defeat the purpose? After all Lavender is called self-blue for a reason. Wouldn't it make it very hard to know who was blue and who was truly lav and not just a lighter blue?

Blues have darker head, hackles and saddles. They also have dark feather shafts. Lavenders are uniform in colour throughout the body & have lighter feather shafts.
