So I managed to resist the sinister urge to pester you guys about my Orps, but I can't resist. The good news is that we can have a rooster or two out here where we live, and I've grown way too fond of these three to have any intention of them ending up in the freezer.

I'm just curious, tbh. Its been fun watching them grow up and guessing about whats dimorphic traits, and what is just being crazy baby chickens without adults to guide them.

Here's the first one, Smudge. This is the most outgoing, curious chick of the three by far.

I will upload pics of the other 2 soon.

Here's Dusty... In front of the 3rd, Lucky. The three amigos are always together, so its hard to get a pic of one at any given time.

Lucky is so much more stand-offish, so the pics are tougher to get with her. Lucky is on the left below. 'She' has always been a bit bigger than her siblings too, even her legs, but she is developing her comb almost identically to them. Fingers crossed that she's just big boned. Haha.

All three were spontaneous feed store buys, so no known hatchery.

Tho I see why so many people rave about buff orps. They are unbelievably charming and sweet.

Throwing in a close up of one of the first two's faces (I think, Smudge). All have nearly the same comb development and redness.
