This little lady came out of a bunch of assorted day-olds I bought to place under a broody. I have a 'baby picture' and a grown up pic. If you look closely she has a few feathers on her legs. She lays a medium brown to dark brown egg (it varies from day to day).

Sorry I can't help with the breed but she is really lovely!

I know what she is................PRETTY! I have seen that coloring on here before but can't recall what it is. I know somebody will come along that does. You got lucky. She's pretty. Eye Candy for the flock.

Yes, she is very pretty and has a nice personality too, unlike the bossy little red one behind her!

Her color pattern reminds me of my partridge cochin, but her body shape looks orpington to me.

She sure is pretty though!

I'd think Cochin cross to get the feathering coming through on the legs (even though it's very slight) and the partridge coloration (that is partridge and not gold laced correct?). Maybe then orpington or australorp on the other half? Very neat! It's always a shot in the dark with crosses, and she's beautiful, as well as what sounds to be a great layer!!

I think she's a Barnevelder - they shouldn't have feathers on their legs, so she's probably hatchery stock. I bought chicks from the feedstore (which buys from Privett) and one of the buff orpingtons had feathers on its legs.

This is my hatchery stock barnevelder (same chicken in all 3 photos)
