Last year I swore I wouldn't buy chicks that were part of an assortment...this year I ignored my own words of wisdom...Now I have to many chicks, more hatching and need to sell some of the 'extras' but A) I don't want to sell on I should have kept...I know I did that last year B) I don't know what to list them as to sell them.

Bantam: hatched 2/24 from Privett

Standard: Cackle, hatched 3-3

Standard: Cackle, hatched 3-3

Standard: Cackle, hatched 3-3

Bantam: hatched 2-24, Privett, very tiny

Bantam: hatched 2-24, Privett

It was windy and they were not cooperative for picture taking...Any breed/gender guesses?

I'll give it a try...mind you these are guesses lol.

#1 ....mottled cochin?

#2 ...silver laced Wyandotte?

#3 ...not real sure, maybe barred rock?

#4 ...buff Orpington?

#5 ...barred rock, maybe blue barred rock? Possible rooster!

#6 ...Rhode Island red? Possible rooster!

#7 ...black sex link, or austrolorp?

Those are my best guesses :idunno

how did you come up with the male conclusion for number 6? the beak looks a bit different. is that a sign of male?

The comb and wattles look a bit big, and are a bit pink / reddish. . . Mind you it might be a pullet they are still young. Just watch out for it to get bigger and redder cause that = rooster! ;)

1: mottled Cochin, looks hen
2: SLW, looks female
3: GLW, pullet
4: BO, pullet
5: not sure on breed, but looks like a boy
6: production red or RIR, looks like a roo
7: bantam Australorp? Looks like a girl

Thank you for your guesses.

I'm about to group them together, with the other 40ish in their pen and list them as a mix, buy at your own risk...but I don't know who I want to keep!
