Two babe's not sure of gender

At least one looks barred. Are they cross breeds? Is the mother barred? Do you have a barred rooster?

Since the rooster is not barred and there's a barred hen, the dark bird at least is a sex linked cockerel. I'm thinking the light bird has barring also, but it's difficult to say from the pictures.

I agree that the black one is a Black Sex Link cockerel. I'm not certain about the light bird. I would suggest re-posting its pic in 3-4 weeks.

Did they have the same parents? If so, then they would be sexlinks. The barred chick is definitely male. The light chick looks like it might be a silver based partridge type color like the father, possibly meaning it's a pullet.
