This is one of the EE's. Turning black and white. Has short fluffy tail feathers.

The first of my EE'S has a short fluffier tail...the second one is long and pointy =) not sure what ive got =)

I got them at a local farm store..not TCS...They are very different in feathering...the first one has feathered really fast...the second is slow..Tail feathers are total opposite.

EE's you can't really go by tail differences to determine roo vs pullet at this stage. So far they both look like roos becuase of their combs and coloring. That color combination, I like to call it calico, of red, black, white and gray is a common one for roos. If they start to develop red patches on their shoulders and areas of red blotches rather than an overall even pattern that points even more toward roo. Maybe wait another 6 weeks, take new pics and post them. It will be much more apparent if they are roos or pullets then due to further comb and feather development.
