any guesses on what kind of gunea fowl this is we got 3 of them

we got them free from a guy that be buy our chickens from.he asked me if i wanted them an my older daughter thinks guinea look cool so she took them. dont know what kind they are or how old or anything about guinea's what are they good at eating alot of ticks anything else?

Yep, exactly like my (gray) pearls too.
Oops, and part b of your question . . . yes, bug eating among other things. There have been a lot of informative threads recently that I think you will find more helpful than me. Good luck and welcome to our guinea threads!

They look like normal "pearl" colored Guineas. These guys look to be about 5 weeks old. Keep them up until they are AT LEAST 8 weeks of age. You will know this because the females will start to "call".

Nice looking birds BTW. There MAY be some purple in them, but time will tiell.

Guineas are a Wonderful addition to you flock and they are wacky, robust and CLEAN birds. Plus they eat ticks and grasshoppers like there is no tommorrow.

Be sure to have pleny of fresh clean cool water in front of them and they NEED game bird feed which has a higher protein percentage.
