So based off of bill color sexing of day old Welsh Harlequins I was pretty confident I had a silver phase drake...well.... now 3.5 weeks in im confused... pretty sure this is gold phase and maybe even a hen...

They are a wonderful friendly breed. I had some a couple years ago but all were lost to a raccoon.
I can tell you that the bill colors change. The duckling bill color sexing is only good the first few days. As adults the are the opposite. As for silver or gold phase, can not help there

Hope you can see the picture. But it shows the ducks dark bill and the drakes yellow bill

As Drakes mature they develope a white ring around the neck, green heads and Mahogany feathers in the chest..

Well his head turned dark grey and his bill is definitely yellowing. So hes probably a drake. I got all straight run this year im inpatient about finding out if i have any girls

The drakes are beautiful as with most birds the male has all the color.
Should be able to tell male/female soon from bill color
