I'm super excited. These are my first group.Hopefully in the next few weeks or so. Very pretty girl. Her wattles and comb are getting bigger and redder, hopefully soon.
I have two Ameraucanas that are at 16 weeks! Except my breed is a notoriously late layer. I have read that most hens will start laying at the 18-20 week mark, so hopefully you’ll be getting eggs within the month! What breed are they?Anyone want to guess when she'll give me an egg? Theyre both16 weeks here. Hoping its soon!![]()
I have 2 EEs. I've also heard they lay late. These ones are production blues. Mix between Rhode island reds and blue australorps. I also have 4 new golden comets. They're only 4 days old but I heard they're great layers also.I have two Ameraucanas that are at 16 weeks! Except my breed is a notoriously late layer. Yes, I’ve hear EEs and Ameraucanas are pretty close I’m laying time, so I’m kinda guessing my girls might start laying at 21 or 22 weeks, but we’ll see! Also, I just got 10 new chicks too (about 4-7 days old) and two of them are Golden Comets! I’ve heard they lay about 5-6 eggs a week, so there will definitely be a lot of egg cooking going on at my house.I have 2 EEs. I've also heard they lay late. These ones are production blues.
