As for the size its 9 inches from tip of needle to the back, 1/2 inch thick, and 2 3/4 inches at its widest point.
Camelot: I don't want to sound like I don't believe you, cause I have NO clue, but how did you know that? I don't recall my great grandmother working in a mill, but she very well could have. I know she picked a lot of cotton, could it be related to that maybe?
