I hatched this little one out myself (first hatch ever) and the chick looked very similar to a chipmunk. Any ideas? It was an extra egg tossed into my batch with RI whites.

It looks like it has EE (color pattern) and Leghorn (white ear lobe, shape) in it to me.

She has Delaware coloring but heavy on the black ticking. Do you have anyone with the light/Columbian color pattern?

Being new to chickens & hatching, I'm not sure what it could be. The guy I got the eggs from only had RI Whites, but he frequently incubated eggs for several people. He only had RI whites & black copper marans (and I know he didn't cross breed with them). It obviously got mixed in from the other people's batch. The guy actually had a similar looking chick. He didn't know his was either.

FYI It was a white egg.
