In my flock I have..HENS: light brahma, 2 EE, barred rock, black sex-link..ROOS: 1 buff brahma (dominant roo) and 1 mixed roo w/smooth legs. All the brahmas are from MM hatchery and the others were rescue birds from a mixed flock.
One of my hens hatched 2 chicks this week from a mix of eggs from my hens. I'm brand new to chicken genetics. Any guesses on parentage?
First chick: I'm pretty sure one, if not both, parents are brahma.
Second chick: This one has me stumped. S/he has smooth black legs. None of my chickens have black legs. S/he has a little white under the beak and a white butt. Not sure who his/her parents are.
