He's probably a cross breed, but any thoughts at all? He's a cutie, I call him Ziggy. And no, I don't know if it's male or female, I just have been calling him a he.

So many chickens have the chipmunk pattern, but the dark, feathered legs do narrow it down. I'll do some research and report back later.

He's got four toes, not five, if that helps. And there's a good chance he's at least part cochin. Beyond that, I'm not sure!

What kind of comb does he have? If it's a pea comb, he could be a Brahma cross.

The closest thing I can find (sorry, all I have for chicks is my Murray McMurray catalouge) would be a dark brahma. But that would mean yellow legs and a pea comb, so the cochin cross is likely. I would say a Partridge because they have the darkest legs, that I can see.

The comb is practically nonexistent, is that a pea comb? I'm used to rose combs because I raise Dominiques, but I've never seen a pea comb on a chick (in person) before. It's definitely not a straight comb.

It probably is a pea comb, you should be able to tell for sure in a month or so.

Thanks! And I love Doms, too. They are my most favorite breed, I am just getting into breeding them myself. They are exactly what I want out of a chicken.
