Any hard water freaks here?

I'm glad to see that some of you have ice. We had some ice started this year but the temps ran into the 40's, and most people went back to using boats. We have a local walleye fishing tournament that lasts for about a month with a $1000.00 first prize and ended last saturday, It was fished entirely by boat. The temps have dropped and the ice is starting to form again, maybe I can get out this year.

Went jiggin for brookies yesterday

As I mentioned earlier we've had alot of 40 degree weather and it's completely screwed up our winter. The river is full of walleye and the guys want to fish, so they have to go out in boats. Cold weather at night makes ice at the boat ramps, and sometimes things happen.

Dchicken207 those are some nice looking brookies, don't think I"ve ever seen any that big.We pack in to a stream that feeds a lake and fly fish for browns when the caddis hatch, and my uncle always tells us that we have to go down by the beaver dam and catch brookies if we want to eat breakfast. We do most of our fishing at night as that's when the hatch happens, so we sometimes sleep till noon.and uncle bill don't do breakfast. Keep the pics coming, I'm going after walleye this week in the boat, maybe I can get some pics on here.

Thanks. We have some nice browns here also, they are harder to catch but when you do it's usually a quality fish. We are going back after Brookies and rainbows this weekend. Pics to follow

I went out tuesday morning to a strong wind, and no fish so there's no pics to post. Hope you have better luck. The season closes on the 15th so we don't have much time I wish the weather would cooperate. GL
