It's our first time with chickens but we are beginning to wonder if this (5 - 6 week old) pullet is actually a rooster. Any ideas? She's much leaner looking than our other EE and is also very aggressive with our other chicks. I know it might be too early to tell but I thought I'd try. Thanks!

looks like possible cockerel, the comb is showing red this early.

That's what we noticed also. We have another EE chick and her comb is much lighter and more yellowish orange compared to this one. Also, her body is just much fuller and more hen like and this one is much more lean.

You have a picture of his\her wings\shoulder area?
EE Roos tend to get redish shoulder patches & the coloring pattern is broken up and pullets arent patchy.

    cockerel.

the coloring is way too flashy to be a pullet.
