Any idea on the sex?

Im unsure whether Pullet or cockerel. It comes from a true blue rooster and a RIR hen. About 10 weeks

Thanks! i think so too, but was sort of thrown off by the longer drooped down tail feathers. they are rounded at the tips though

My 8 week EE has the same kinda tail, but i got a resounding "pullet" on BYC

It does! I’ve now been told this is actually a cross between a true blue and an EE. So that may make sense.

Yeah, those EE's really like to keep you guessing until crow or lay! I had one that had everybody, even myself, convinced it was a boy. I believed it was a crowless rooster. Then SHE started laying huge bright blue eggs at 10 MONTHS! Even after that, I couldnt help but refer to "Chipper" as He! Lol

Haha yes this one is confusing. Although I am leaning Pullet as well. I hope she doesn’t take 10 months!

If she does take that long you may end up with a super extra large blue egg daily as well
