That dark color legs for BSL is normal. It looks more black to me but maybe that's just my monitor color settings.

The OPs has the rust colored feathers too. It coloring is how it was easy to tell it was a pullet. A male would be colored much differently, kind of like a sloppy barred rockMy black sex link, that's what I was told it was, has some rust colored feather around her neck area.
