Any idea what breed this is?

So a friend of mine was offered 2 Turkey poults by a friend of his. He wasn’t interested so he gave them to me. Thanks to BYC, both turkeys made it thru being really sick. They are now putting on good weight and running around like crazy birds!! I have named them “Boomer” and “Hulk” (Here is to hoping they are boys!!). These are my first Turks, and like I said, they would not have made it if it weren’t for BYC.

We do not have ANY vets that care for poultry within an hour’s drive.

Now I am hoping that I can call on the wonderful men and women of BYC to help identify what breed of rotten, spoiled, vocal, crazy, cute, loving little turds of turkeys we have! Any ideas?

Too young to say. They well get more colors in a couple months. right now they look like a normal white meat turkey, or royal palm

Thanks Jonathan. He said that they are Bourbon Buffs but they look really light colored to me (comparing to internet pics).

Can they change that much in color?

Yes i have 3 week old bourbon red and there a peach color. and when reds are born there yellow so your could be bourbon buffs.

My guess is royal palms. Beltsville whites. Or bbw. Or white hollands.

From the first pic I don't see any bourbon coloration.
