This guy is about 4 weeks old. He’s from Hoover Hatchery’s dual purpose combo special. Before feathering out, his head and neck were reddish brown. Sorry for the poor pics, but it’s really hot in the coop and I didn’t want to move too much and make them run away.

It’s hard to see, but it looks like there are white flecks on the shoulders, too.

I was thinking Austrolorpe for #2 too... The first has lacing like a barnevelder.. Straight comb, so not a wyandotte... Sorry I'm not more helpful, but they're nice, healthy looking birds! :)

I found out today 2 of mine were Jersey Giants instead of Australrops, someone told me to look at the bottoms of the feet. Of the bottoms are: Yellow=Jersey Giant, Pinkish/White=Australorp. I'm not sure about the other one? May just be a SLW cross of some kind? Can I ask what kind of rooster that is in your avatar? He is gorgeous.

This is the picture Hoover's has of Australorp chicks. Mine was all black except for the white chin/bib and the white patch under it's eye.

The amount of white on a chick can vary. I haven't had one with as much white as that photo.
