Any idea what breed?

First one looks like their Asian Black/Blue, I picked up some from the feed store this year. They are not a true breeding bird, and my chicks do not look the same. Some of them hatched out with a little bit of brown at their faces, and some were solid black. As they got older some stayed black, some had silver at the neck, and some had red...and the color's were not gender specific.

Good to know! It will be fun to see how this one turns out. I’m not worried about breeding true. I like my barnyard mutts.

Wow! That is a good rooster! I love the barnyard mixes too.

My avatar was an EE cross. He was a sweet rooster. Not a pet, but minded his own business when I was out and about. I think he's the one who babysat a clutch of week old chicks when their mama decided she needed to take a dust bath. She jumped out of the coop, and the babies were in the doorway, not knowing what to do. He jumped up in the door and stood guard until she came back.
