My avatar was an EE cross. He was a sweet rooster. Not a pet, but minded his own business when I was out and about. I think he's the one who babysat a clutch of week old chicks when their mama decided she needed to take a dust bath. She jumped out of the coop, and the babies were in the doorway, not knowing what to do. He jumped up in the door and stood guard until she came back.
yours looks to have pink skin? Did yours have a distinctive head spot as a chick?Any chance it could be a Marans of some sort? I was wondering with the white spot under the eye. It looked closer to the bottom picture. Do Jersey Giants vary a lot with the amount of white on them? (Not trying to argue, just looking at all options.)
Nope. It was all black with a reddish brown head. No yellow on it. I took some pics, but that one is particularly camera shy so I didn't get any clear ones.
I'll have to look at pics I took when they were little. I don't quite remember. If I find any decent ones, I'll post them.
