We got home from church this morning and had an extra chicken in the yard..
ladies were clucking pretty excitedly before we left, so I’m pretty sure it had been here beforehand. I think she’s probably already used their resources, has quite the appetite. Older hens were running her off, I do have 4 3 months olds that don’t seem to mind her presence. Everyone free ranges besides at night, really can’t separate.
Seems to be about 2 months old?
Any idea what breed?
Is this chicken math??

But sorry I don't know what that is. Too bad you can't quarantine it.
She seems so lost. My adult girls were chasing her every direction but she kept coming back to my porch.. appears she doesn’t know where home is. We are on 10 acres. I did get her in a dog crate to quarantine. Seems real cruel to cage a stray chicken but here we are. however she has already drank from my girls water sources so hoping for the best. Hoping I can get her adequately introduced in the future.

She's some kind of mixed breed. Possibly an Easter egger
Man I wish! I got 2 “sexed” EE 3 months ago and they were both roosters. :barnie Her comb is not smushed down like an EE.
I did a little more research, I think she’s a RIR. And by research I mean I took a pic and asked AI, then google referenced pics lol.
