The farm store sold this bird as a barred Plymouth rock as a chick- she didn’t have the white dot on her head like most do. She was mostly black. She has no barring on any feathers, and actually has a tinge of auburn feathers around her eyes. Any ideas?

I’m going to guess Jersey Giant, because of the yellow skin under the black on her legs. Feed stores often have JGs. It might be helpful to show a photo of her whole body to see if her body shape suggests any particular breed.

Also, post the photo as full image. Because using thumbnail causes it to not show the whole photo unless people click on it.

Thought it was a Black Australorp at first...but the blue shine made me doubt. My closest guess would have to be a Jersey Giant :)

Look at the legs/bottom of feet. Yellow skin, JG. White skin with no feathers, Australorp. White skin with a little bit of feathers on legs, black copper Marans. I don't think sexlink because there is so little leakage but it's possible.

Yes, her feet are slightly yellow but almost in between grey and yellow. I thought Jersey giant but she’s 6 months old and the same size as my other dual purpose breed pullets. Laid her first egg today, and it’s a very pale brown shell. Here’s a picture- I couldn’t get a great angle because she moves around so much
