Any idea what breeds?

Maybe Mother Nature does it so they blend in better? Like a deer has white spots at first? I don’t know, it is strange 😂 But they’re super cute!

black copper marans shouldnt be all black though, i thought? The copper represents the gold in the hackles n such n such don't it?
Correct! I guess I was referring to the white disappearing. I don’t know if you can see in this picture , but her hackles are copper. And the eggs are so pretty! My eight year old named this one Ninja 🤣

This is a young rooster. The colors are gorgeous if you get roo’s out of those chicks.

I apologize, I’ve never seen white feathers on the backs of my marans. Sorry to maybe get your hopes up. It’s still a beautiful bird though!
Its alright, i honestly dont think they have copper maran in them, as i was told by 6 weeks males will have copper coming in their saddle feathers, and I'm 90% sure i have two roosters, no copper.
